Position Available

Sales Engineer –

As a Sales Engineer, you will be working with Consulting, Enterprise, and Mobile sales reps with various aspects of the sales process. You will be providing technical assistance and expertise to software companies looking to develop Enterprise and/or Mobile applications utilizing our products within existing environments as well as the development of new applications. For the successful candidate, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support and sales expertise for pre-sales and post-sales situations
  • Formulating technical strategies and tactics for sales in support of ZHMICRO products and services and functioning as an integral part of the sales team
  • Providing demonstrations of ZHMICRO products
  • Providing ad hoc and custom demonstrations of ZHMICRO products
  • Presenting technical features and business benefits of ZHMCRO products
  • Working cooperatively with other members of the ZHMICRO team to resolve technically oriented problems and issues
  • The ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues to the technical solution and to provide a roadmap for the customer’s success
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Conveying customer requirements to Product Management and Professional Services teams
  • Technically qualifying sales opportunities via technical discovery calls and meetings
  • Identifying and communicating technical and business pre-sales issues to the Sales Representative
  • Assisting and making recommendations for the development of account plans
  • Meeting customer-stated and agreed upon opportunity acceptance criteria – could involve the creation of a Proof of concept Statement of Work
  • Assisting partners with archetecture and design utilizing ZHMICRO products
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by making referencable accounts
  • Identifying and cultivating Professional Services and Software sales opportunities
  • Entering relevant customer and prospect information into a CRM tool
  • Traveling to customer and partner sites as required
  • Traveling to and attending ZHMICRO training and sales meetings as required

Qualifications / Requirements –

  • BS in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Experience with C++ Development on UNIX and Windows platforms
  • Strong database (Oracle and SQL/Server) background with SQL experience
  • Experience with software development tools & object oriented technology (J2EE, Java, Javascript, JDBC and DHTML)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Able to respond appropriately in a dynamic, client-oriented organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to work on a wide range of problems with diverse scope & complexity
  • Travel to customer, partner and our clients sites are necessary
  • Excels at working independently
